The project, requiring 43 million DH in investment, reflects the Sovereign's firm commitment for knowledge and human element qualification as well as the interest granted to Research and Development, as a key to progress and growth.
The center also illustrates HM the King's efforts to turn the Moroccan society into a productive society and open it to modern sciences and technologies.
The new institution, to be built on 1,600 square meters at the national higher school of electricity and mechanics (ENSEM), will comprise computer, electricity and mechanics laboratories and will help consolidate ENSEM's research potential, the establishment of new teams, subject-matters or research axes with a high development potential, and the training of engineers in Morocco's new world trades.
The project is carried out in partnership between ENSEM, the regional council, the Hassan II academy of sciences and techniques, the Safran Engineering Services enterprise, Cosumar group, the association of Technopark enterprises, the national center of scientific and technical research, the association "cluster électronique, mécatronique et mécanique du Maroc" and Fiat Group Automobiles Maroc.
The center will stand as a space and an organization extending services that allow various stakeholders, particularly industrialists, to exchange and conduct team work throughout all stages of the innovation process.
It will also support the far-reaching projects policy adopted by HM the King, accompany the "Plan Emergence" strategy of industrial development which has attracted numerous enterprises to Morocco, particularly in car-making and electronics, and consolidate the development momentum in the region at large.
