Washington - His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who is on a visit to several African countries, is "carrying a pioneering vision for an African continent that is confident in its assets, freer, more prosperous, and liberated from the burdens of the past," said on Saturday "Forbes Magazine".
"It is a vision of hope for free enterprise and change for Africa," said Richard Miniter, author of several bestselling books on the New York Times list, explaining that this royal vision "debunks a colonial myth that believes that Africa is still plagued by its colonial past and, therefore, would need more help than opportunities."
Where others see risk, the royal approach reaches out to the opportunity, the author says, pointing to the "colossal direct investment in Morocco in West Africa, particularly in the areas banking, telecommunications, and fertilizers."
He also stresses the announcement of the creation of a major fertilizer plant and whose production will be entirely directed to the African market with the aim of giving substance to South-South cooperation.
