HM The King Mohammed VI chairs Council of Minister in Rabat

Rabat - His Majesty King Mohammed VI chaired, Tuesday at the Royal Palace in Rabat, a council of ministers, said a statement from spokesman of the Royal Palace.

 

The council of ministers examined and adopted an organic draft law, a draft decree and three international agreements.

   

At the beginning of this meeting, the Secretary General of the Government gave a presentation on the legal consequences resulting from the decision of the Constitutional Council No 932/14 of 30 January 2014 on the Organic Law of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, stressing the non-compliance of certain provisions of this organic law with the Constitution.

   

To this end, the Council of Ministers adopted the proposed amendments to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Constitution.

   

The Council of Ministers also adopted a draft organic law amending and supplementing the Organic Law on the appointment to senior positions, according to Articles 49 and 92 of the Constitution. This bill aims to update this organic law through the introduction of certain public institutions to the list of institutions whose appointment of officials is discussed in the Council of Ministers or the Council of Government, as well as the inclusion, in this list, of public institutions established under laws published in the Official Bulletin, in addition to schools and institutions to be created.

   

The Council adopted a draft decree amending and supplementing the decree on the status of the National Authority for Civil Protection.

 

As part of strengthening friendship and brotherhood relations with other countries, the Council adopted three international agreements backed by laws. They concern technical and financial cooperation, humanitarian aid, and the mutual promotion and protection of investments.
 

According to Article 49 of the Constitution, on the proposal of the Head of Government and the initiative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, His Majesty the King kindly appointed Mr. Mohamed Fadel Benyaich as Ambassador of His Majesty to Spain.
