Moroccan Air Company and US National Association of Black Journalists conclude Partnership Agreement

Washington - Morocco's air company (Royal Air Maroc) and the US national association of black journalists (NABJ) concluded a partnership agreement under which RAM becomes the transport partner of the 5,000 member-strong association.

 

RAM intends to support NABJ's activities by carrying its members and training students in jounalism schools affiliated to the association.

 

Concretely, RAM will be offering NABJ's members facilities in all its network, particularly in Africa and will be encouraging best students by facilitating their movement to undertake training sessions, research and other work on Africa.

 

Established in 1975 in Washington DC, the National association of black journalists gathers over 5,000 black journalists and media professionals. It is a very influent organization in the USA, particularly among Afro-American circles.

 

The partnership was unveiled during the BABJ-Hall of Fame annual gala, held at the Newseum, the media museum in the federal capital, in the presence of Morocco's ambassador Rachad Bouhlal, Senegal's ambassador, Cheikh Niang, Benin's ambassador and dean of the African ambassadors in the USA, Cyrille Oguin.

 

Several US political figures were also present, including the Democrats' leader at the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, several other high-ranking officials and representatives of transport authorities.
