Registering births in the civil status records


Births are declared to the consular services of the embassy for births located in its consular department.


The required documents


For those born to Moroccan parents:

1. The birth certificate of the child issued by the Saudi Civil Status;

2. The Moroccan marriage contract or foreign marriage contract ratified by the Moroccan authorities or attached to the appendix judgment in the executive version of one of the Moroccan courts (the original copy);

3. The family book or the identity book and the Moroccan civil status of the father

4. A copy of the national identification card for the father and mother

5. A copy of the parents' passport

6. A copy of the parents' residence card or a copy of the visa if they are not residents.

 

For a child born to a Moroccan mother and a foreign father:

1. The nationality certificate for persons born before April 2, 2007 is granted by Moroccan courts;

2. Child birth certificate issued by the Saudi Civil Status

3. A complete copy of the birth certificate for the child's mother

4. The national identity card of the mother

5. A copy of the father's ID;

6. A copy of the parents' passport

7. A copy of the parents ’residency card or a copy of the visa if they are not residents

8. The Moroccan marriage contract or foreign marriage contract ratified by the Moroccan authorities or attached to the appendix judgment in the executive form of one of the Moroccan courts (original copy);
